Picnic at Core Creek

The weather was perfect. Low 80s, no humidity and a nice breeze. We had no plans for once and everyone was feeling pretty healthy, so we decided to take Zoe for her first "picnic in the park" at Core Creek in Langhorne. This is a place that Jan spent many, many weekends of her youth with her parents whether it was just lazy summer afternoon or a huge Korean church picnic. Jan and I also spent a good bit of time here when we visited her parents from Boston or New Haven and needed a few hours away.

For the picnic we invited Nancy, Charlie and Trevor who found they were also free for some lunch. We enjoyed a few hours of relative calm as Zoe and Trevor were in good moods, making it easy for the parents to enjoy the beautiful weather.

Here are just a sample of the MANY photos Jan took during our visit. The first few are of Zoe hanging out in her stroller without the need for a car seat. She seems be enjoying herself.

Hey, check out what I can do with my foot!

Mmmmm mmmmm. Yummy toes!

We can't wait to embarrass her with these when she gets older. =)

So, Trevor arrives and the two little ones decide to say hello to each other.

Not sure what's going through Zoe's mind at this point.

Aren't they cute together?

Trevor was in such a good mood. Here is the cute little boy just chillin.

Nice look Zoe. Couldn't you be more relaxed like Trevor? Gotta love those bubbles, right?

Not sure if I like squash

Last weekend, Zoe was sitting in her Bebe Pod while Jan and I were eating lunch when she started staring at our food. After a few minutes of feeling her steady gaze, Jan was convinced that Zoe was "indicating" an interest in what we were eating and maybe we should try giving her some solid food.

We started out with some mashed bananas which Zoe ate like a champ. She kept grabbing the spoon wanting more and more. So, since last week's attempt with bananas was so successful, Jan prepared some squash to give Zoe this weekend. Here are two photos of Zoe's reaction. Not sure that squash was as successful as bananas. But this is an exciting new stage of life for our little girl...

Another one of Zoe sleeping...

I know that we should get a little more creative with these post titles, but we just can't help ourselves. When our precious little girl nods off, she is too adorable and we feel the need to photograph her and share with the rest of the world. Enjoy these few shots!

Jumperoo Zoe

Zoe's has been thoroughly enjoying her new Jumperoo. Now that she can keep her head up and hold her weight on her legs, she has a blast bouncing back and forth, playing with all the toys, spinning from one activity to the next.

Here's a 1.5 minute video of her playing:

Grandma and Grandpa Wy Visit

Grandma and Grandpa Wyglendowski drove all the way up from Delaware the weekend before July 4th to visit with Zoe (oh yeah, and probably to say hi to me and Jan as well).

What a doting Grandma, huh?

Here's two of Zoe and Grandpa checking each other out.

Could they be any cuter? Not sure which one is the kid here?

Later that day, Nancy, Charlie and Trevor stopped by to enjoy some lunch and join the "party".

Here's one of Trevor checking out Zoe. I think he might have a crush on her. =)

Zoe, don't flirt with him!
